6 levels of ecological Organization

At the lowest level or levels of ecological organization, first you find individual species of living organisms. Every plant and animal species on the planet, directly frombacteria and fungus microscopically for giant blue whales and Giant Sequoias, found a place at the level of the ecological pyramid. The distribution of these species is regulated by abiotic component factors of the regions.

The second level of the pyramid is made up of individual species populations showing on the first floor. In this case, the population refers to a group of species live together in a restricted geographical area. For example, a herd of wildebeests in the African Savannah or coyote in the grasslands of North America.

The third level of the pyramid consists of ecological community of different speciesthat live together in a geographic area and its boundaries interact with one another. The interaction between the members of this community often revolves around the concept of predator-prey and symbiotic relationship.

At the next level of ecological organization located in ecosystems, biological environment consisting of all living organisms and non-living (abiotic component or factor such as air, soil, and water) in certain areas and the interactions between them. Although many people refer to this level as the organization level in a given ecosystem, is technically incorrect because the ecosystem itself is one of organization-levelecology.

The fifth level of the pyramid is the ecology biomes, major biotic communities are usually marked with the dominant form of vegetation and climatic conditions. Some of the most prominent of the biomes of the world biomes include desert, rain forest biomes biomes, Savannah, etc.

The last level of the ecological pyramid is the biosphere, which consists of the Earth's surface and the atmosphere. It is also known as the zone of life on Earth, due to the fact that all living beings are found on the planet lived side by side here. Simply put, it is the sum of all ecosystems of the planet.

Ecology

Although technically there are six levels of ecological organization, indeed there is some source that only identify five levels, i.e., organisms, populations, communities, ecosystems, and biomes; including the Biosphere from the list. With the amount ofbiodiversity that planet prides, the idea of classifying different levels to the environment can certainly be useful in studying the environment.
